Toxicity

Thiocyanate ions are of rather low toxicity, so the high toxicity of mercury(II)-thiocyanate just depends on its mercury content. --FK1954 (talk) 19:08, 1 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The structure of the thiocyanate ion's actually a resonant structure. It's actually -S-C=-N [arrow] S=C=N- The sulphur can double bond to the carbon and the nitrogen can lose one of its bonds to go from triple to double bond and adopt a negative charge. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jamez Z23 (talkcontribs) 14:11, 14 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
